A special thanks for giving of yourselves so selflessly by volunteering with our Labor of Love Project. Because of you, it was a huge success!! Your efforts enabled us to complete seven projects! You painted homes, installed peel and stick tile, did yard work, cleaned and organized a sun porch, installed and painted siding, repaired a porch, built steps and a handrail, repaired a kitchen sink and stove and replaced a toilet that wasn’t functional. WOW!! That is all truly amazing. The homeowners that you helped are so grateful that you took the time out of your busy schedules to help them. You let them know by your actions that there are people in the community that care about them. You have answered the call of our Lord to practice acts of mercy. How fitting that this took place right before Divine Mercy Sunday. Also, thank you to Bill & Kim Bourgeois for donating the paint and the members of the Good Shepherd and Peace & Justice Ministries who prepared food for the appreciation dinner on Saturday. May God bless you abundantly for all that you have done to live out the Gospel of Jesus.

On behalf of all of the members of our St. Joseph Altar Society Ministry, we extend deep appreciation and gratitude to our St. Charles Borromeo parishioners and family. The Altar this year was a great success. We served hot food for the first time this year and served about 250 people. We visited the homebound this year and delivered shoebox altars lovingly created by our 3rd grade students. All left over food - pasta, red sauce, casseroles, cakes, cookies, canned goods, bread and fresh vegetables were delivered to Bridge House and Grace House. These facilities were deeply grateful for the generous donations. None of this is possible without the loving support of our parish. We thank you and can't wait to present it again next year.

The Respect Life Ministry is pleased to report that the parishioners of St. Charles Borromeo donated $5,407 to the Women's New Life Center during the recent Baby Bottle campaign. The staff at WNLC were overwhelmed with your tremendous generosity and stated that very few parishes reach the $5,000 mark. Thanks to all who contributed to the success of this campaign. You are in their prayers.

LENTEN SERVICE OPPORTUNITY EDUCATE-AN-ORPHAN SCB Fountain of Youth has been doing mission work in Piedras Negras Mexico for 14 years ministering to orphan children in 2 Catholic Orphanages, a Methodist Orphanage and a Disabled Children’s Home. In Mexico the government pays to educate children until 6th grade and then families have to pay. Weekly salary in Mexico is approximately $40. Many families cannot afford so the children drop out of school go to work. A donation of $200 will educate a child for a year (includes tuition, school supplies & uniforms). Donations of any amount ($5, $10, $25, $100, etc) are greatly appreciated. SPONSOR-A-MISSIONARY You can help an SCB missionary to experience God’s love through interaction with the orphans and the people of the Mexican community. Approximate cost is $650. Donations of any amount are greatly appreciated. Please place donation (checks payable to SCB FOY) in an envelope located in the back of church marked EDUCATE-AN-ORPHAN & SPONSOR-A-MISSIONARY and place in the collection basket at Mass by Easter Sunday. Thanks so much for your continued support of our mission in Mexico. Your generosity is touching hearts and changing lives.

Did You Know... the children of our parish are praying for homebound parishioners by name? School and CCD classes will offer powerful prayers each day for the specific intentions of those parishioners served by SCB Eucharistic Ministers to the Homebound. In turn, they only ask those parishioners to pray for them too. We happily accept requests so if you know of someone who needs our prayers, call the parish or school office to let us know.

If you have always wanted to know about your faith, this is where to go. It is very important, in fact, it is necessary to know something about why you say what you believe. We as Catholics are members of the Church Christ founded. Do you understand the Mass? Why do I have to confess my sins to a priest? Why do we ask the intercession of the saints? Do you know why? To deepen your life with Christ access FORMED, it is a great gift we have at SCB. Come to know your faith as an adult Catholic Christian so as to deepen your life with Christ. We have an obligation to know our faith so as to "instruct the ignorant," as the works of mercy command us. Also, join us in our adult education program. The next program is on the Eucharist which will be announced soon. Usually we meet on Thursday nights. TBA! Learn your faith! Parishioners, enter code eee6b0 Please click above for more information

Several years ago, we established the St. Charles Borromeo School Endowment Fund. Endowment gifts are to the school what retirement funds are to an individual: they represent set-aside resources for the future. Although in its infancy, our Endowment is growing. Would you like to contribute? * Direct Donations always accepted; add “School Endowment” to our check’s memo line * Consider leaving a gift in your will * Call the parish office or the school office for more information.

New RCIA Sessions Anyone interested in exploring the possibility of becoming Catholic or inquiring about the Catholic Church is invited to join us for RCIA. RCIA stands for the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults. It is the process by which the non-baptized and those baptized Christians of other faiths wishing to become Catholic can be brought into full communion with the Catholic Church through the sacraments of initiation - Baptism, Eucharist, and Confirmation. It is also for any adult baptized Catholic, who has not yet celebrated the Eucharist and/or Confirmation. If you are interested in finding out more about the RCIA and joining us this year, please contact Ron Schumann at 504- 909-6209, email proenginr@aol.com.
