SCB will be Celebrating First Saturday Devotion, also called the Act of Reparation to the Immaculate Heart of The Blessed Virgin Mary. There will be confession available 7:30 am to 8:00 am, Rosary begins at 7:30 am followed by the prayer of Reparations, then 8:15 am Mass. Please spread the word about this First Saturday devotion. The Next Chapter, a bereavement ministry for those who have lost loved ones, will be meeting on June 4th in the St. Luke meeting room at 7 p.m. "Grieving - A Spiritual Process for Catholics" by Paula Kosin is the book used with this ministry. National Eucharistic Pilgrimage, - New Orleans, June 7-9, 2024 - The National Eucharistic Revival will culminate with two major national events: Four cross-country Eucharistic Pilgrimages from the North, South, East, and West and converging at the National Eucharistic Congress in Indianapolis to be held July 17-21 of this year. 2 young men, 4 young women, 2 seminarians, and a Priest and a Brother from the Franciscan Friars of the Renewal will be making the entire Southern “Juan Diego” pilgrimage from Brownsville, TX to Indianapolis, IN. The Archdiocese of New Orleans will welcome the pilgrims June 7-9, 2024 with two public celebrations: On Friday June 7th beginning at 6:30 p.m., Archbishop Aymond will lead a public Eucharistic Procession from the steps of Notre Dame Seminary and proceeding to St. Rita’s Church on Lowerline Street. The procession will be followed by a time of Eucha-ristic Adoration with music provided by the Vigil Project and a reflection by one of the perpetual pilgrims. Archbishop Aymond will offer the 9:00 a.m. Mass on Sunday, June 9th at St. Louis Cathedral followed by a Eucharistic Procession around Jackson Square. All are invited. This prayer service will honor couples who are celebrating or have recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. The celebration is open to couples married in 1974 or before. (To register, please contact the parish office before Tuesday, March 12, 2024). Please Note: The Golden Wedding Anniversary Celebration is a prayer service, not a Mass and will not fulfill the couple’s Sunday obligation. Couples should plan to attend Mass at their home parishes.
