Jesuit Spirituality Center--Grand Coteau, LA In these times of uncertainty, chaos and suffering, there is one constant—God’s love. But how can you know what God’s plans for you are? And perhaps even more confusing, what if your plans don’t seem to coincide with God’s? This mind, body, spirit retreat will guide you towards a greater awareness of what God desires. Within a sacred space of silence, you will listen for God’s voice through Scripture, music, art, nature, prayer, guided meditation, reflection and group sharing. Addiction and Co-dependency go hand in hand. When a loved one is suffering from addiction, others in the family are experiencing co-dependency and more than likely enabling the disease process to progress under the comforting veil of love. Those who are addicted can be loved to death and those who are co-dependent live in a state of perpetual guilt and misguided belief that they can "fix 11 their loved one. This disease is a family illness, and all parties must own their part in the disease process in order to live fully in recovery. Come hear Matt and Mary share how a son and his mother came together under difficult circumstances to move from the dysfunction of addiction and co-dependency, through the chaos of many trials and revelations to a life lived in recovery with a brighter future. The Divine Mercy Novena of Chaplets was given to the world through St. Faustina in 1937 to be said in preparation for the feast of Divine Mercy Sunday. The Novena begins on Good Friday and ends on the Saturday before Divine Mercy Sunday. It can also be said at any time. For each of the nine days, our Lord gave St. Faustina a different intention. Day 1: All mankind, especially all sinners; Day 2: The souls of priests and religious; Day 3: All devout and faithful souls; Day 4: Those who do not believe in God and those who do not yet know Me; Day 5: The souls of those who have separated themselves from My Church; Day 6: The meek and humble souls and the souls of little children; Day 7: The souls who especially venerate and glorify My mercy; Day 8: The souls who are in purgatory; Day 9: Souls who have become lukewarm. “I desire that during these nine days you brings souls to the fountain of My mercy, that they may draw from there strength and refreshment and whatever grace they have need of in the hardships of life, and especially at the hour of death.” (Diary, 1209) The Spirituality Committee will be handing out Divine Mercy Novena pamphlets next weekend, and all are invited to join in praying this Novena
